Unable to determine CPU Frequency
#1
I am runnning BSD, on a HT dual xeon, this error occurs often, however not always, meaning that the proccess can in fact get the CPU frequency if it needs to.

Same here - anyone got any ideas?

Mine is more troublesome - if it does it once - it seems to keep doing it for ages and I can not get my server to run.

you need to mount linux proc.
make sure this isset in your kernel.

Code:
options     LINPROCFS
  options     COMPAT_43
options COMPAT_LINUX32 would be added if you have a XEON that can run AMD64 code.

after that, add this to /etc/fstab
Quote:none /compat/linux/proc linprocfs rw 0 0

and either mount -a or reboot.
