Hello,
Im pretty new to srcds, I've used it only twice before, anyways, today I was trying to get a TF2 Server to run, sourcemod and metamod:source seem to work perfectly as far as I can see,I can connect to the server via my pc's ip address, the steam public ip address just times out,i've tried many solutions, and yes,i port forwarded on my router's homepage, but nothing seemed to work, here is my router's specs:
-----------------------------------------------------
NAME : HUAWEI B310s-927
MATERIAL VERSION : WL1B310TM
SOFTWARE VERSION: 21.300.01.00.1269
WEB UI VERSION: 17.100.09.00.03
----------------------------------------------------
And heres some general info:
-----------------------------------------------------
Server OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (Manually Installed through update packs) x64
Processor: Intel® Pentium® CPU G2020 @ 2.90GHz
Ram: 4GB (3.71 GB Usable)
Game(s): Team Fortress 2
Start Up Command: srcds.exe -console -game tf +sv_pure -1 +map achievement_apg_remade6b +maxplayers 4 -ip (internal ip) -port 27015
(Note: sv_lan set to 0)
Admin Mods: Sourcemod and Metamod:Source
------------------------------------------------------
Server runs fine when I connect to it,and the plugins in sourcemod work,my friend tried joining via my ip,the external ip,the anonymous gameserver thing, and via friends, and nothing seemed to work
Also,to note that the router is used by my family too,but that doesnt pose any issue, srcds doesnt complain about the internet connection either
I set the port forwarding like this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name:Tea for Two
WAN Port: 27015
IP LAN Address: (internal ip)
LAN Port:27015
Protocol: TCP/UDP
Status: ON
Diagram:
192.168.8.1 -> Login -> Settings -> Security -> Virtual Server -> Ajouter (Add) -> Typing in Info -> OK -> Appliquer (Apply) -> Warning Popup -> OK -> Success
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I force srcds to use the external steam ip,it just errors out with a "Unable to find" Error
I am unsure what to do at this point, any help would be greatly appriciated
EDIT:I forgot to mention that im hosting on the same computer im playing on,I know its not recommended, but I do not have a seperate computer capable of doing this yet, getting a another router is also out of the question, since its a family router (please tell me how will I convince my parents to buy a newer router just to host funny hat game),also unable to pay for server hoster online, this is due to my country's currency and also their rules on outside credit cards, this is okay since I am not looking to host a public server, just a private server for like 2 friends to goof around in,nothing big,and i've also heared listen server tend to break with sourcemod/metamod:source,so im skeptical on that aswell, please try to provide a solution that arent these.
