ip issues

just got my server running again. but noone can join in . i had it workin when i lived in florida . but i moved back to ny. i had a small prob with the server workin but turned out that because i was behind a router i needed to change my ip adress so now the server works i can get in and play but noone else can join in . it says server not responding for anyone who want to join

Did you set port-forwarding?
Did you give your friends your new public IP address?
