if ur not on a budget then server 03 is great, server 08 still has to many bugs.

I don't work with Linux but on our dedi servers we offer ubuntu server, fedora and debian

i think valve games work great on both OS's, so it's just what you happen to prefer.

If you plan on hosting non-valve games, then you might want to do windows, since a lot of other games' linux support is pathetic or non existent.

Support is generally even for Windows and Linux.
There have been a few instances where they had issues with the Windows servers and not Linux servers.. but these are very rear and are normally fixed within a few hours.

sounds good, well I guess i'll try 2003 then maybe learn Linux on my own PC at home on a VMware or something then maybe move on to Linux later on since I am really busy with school/work and nighstschool... alright guys... sounds good thx...


I currently have 2008 thats why am going to downgrade to 2003 Toungue
