sv_downloadurl and file hosting
#1
I know how to get sv_downloadurl working, but I want to know; does this work with usual file hosting websites?
I figured that it couldn't, since file hosting websites host all their files on one giant server, and don't separate them into any folders according to user. Is there a way to get this to work, or is there a file hosting website that I can use for this? (Note: I used urldownload.com, an srcds.com one; I just want to know if file hosting websites work.)
Edit: One more thing. I couldn't upload a website on the urldownload.com server; it said it wasn't a .bsp file, which it clearly is. Since it's run by someone that visits the srcds forums, I figured I'd ask here. Thanks if you can do anything.

You need to pay for web space. Free sites wont work so several reasons.

Okay, so I followed Goilio's link he pm'ed me. Now, however, the maps aren't being downloaded - the usual error people get, about not being able to find the map. The maps are hosted at http://chaosed0.sserver.eu/tf/maps, and I have in my server.cfg:
Code:
sv_downloadurl "http://chaosed0.sserver.eu/tf/"
You can view my files at "chaosed0.sserver.eu"

I believe that you should 1. take off the trailing / in "/tf/", and 2. .bz2 (bzip) the files that are located on the download server. You can do this with SourceRSC.
