Linux on a ibm pseries with power 4 cpu..

trying to install that updatetool but
i can't get past the first step ,get error
"cannot execute binary file"
done chmod -x and that is no problem
using suse linux 9.2 enterprise edition for IBM ppc64

Is it not compatible with that software?

server is very new about 2 months and very powerfull

I want too test running a dedicated cs source on it.

You should use a 32 bit version of SuSE instead.

Nope server wont take 32 version ,just tried.

must be that the cpu is 64 bits

There ain't no 64 bit version of the server, and afaik it won't work on 64 bit (only) OS's. If that IBM won't accept a 32 bit OS than I'm affraid that you can't get the current server to run on your system.

only 64bit thats supported is amd64. there is no support for ppc, only x86 and x86_64
