Create a server.cfg

Hey every body. I have some questions, how I can create a server.cfg for dedicate server? I didnt found a server.cfg there --->...\srcds\cstrike\cfg\. But why ?? Can somebody HELP ME PLEASE!

open notepad, save it as server.cfg and look at the thread resource thread.

starting 9/24/2006 if your problem has been solved please edit your first post and add [solved] to the begining of the title. Thanks.

I tried to make that , but I get same error could`t exec server.cfg. Any ideas???

make sure it isnt server.cfg.txt

Im allready done it. But my server.cfg is server.cfg.txt. And I dont know how to make it like cfg not cfg.txt. Can some body help??

Just rename; remove the .txt part.

If Windows doesn't show the .txt part, look at this tutorial:

Follow the tutorial which SirTiger linked to.

Then right click on your server.cfg.txt => 'Rename' => remove the '.txt' on the end and press enter.

or edit the file in notepad. choose go File -> Save As.
now, look where write the name of the file, see under that? where it says Save as type? change that to all files, then make sure it says server.cfg and save it.
