Hi, I run a garrysmod server but for some reason I can't get it started when steam is running. It just prints 3 lines of text in the console then sits and does nothing.
Console initialized.
ConVarRef mat_dxlevel doesn't point to an existing ConVar
Game.dll loaded for "Garry's Mod"
Sorry for not putting this up earlier, My server was running so I couldn't find out.

Yes I did everything correctly. I reinstalled it, and it seems to be that it will boot with steam running for like the first 2 or 3 times then after that, the problem starts again.

Why are you running steam on a dedicated server?
SRCDS has some issues with Steam... If you boot up SRCDS first and then Steam, it wont let you shutdown steam without closing SRCDS.
