Windows Server 2008....
#1
Just had a question, has anybody had problems with Windows Server 2008? the servers run fine and stuff, but there is a little bit of lag or spike, its simply not smooth, I thought it was because I had to many servers, but same thing happens when I only run one server and turn off everything else... I thought i'll post the information already since you guys might ask for it already... tell me if I have anything wrong in there...

thanks!

here is my start up line
Code:
-game cstrike -console -port 27016 +maxplayers 20 +map surf_greatriver +exec server.cfg -tickrate 100 +fps_max 300
I have tried running the fps booster and its simply the same.

and here is my server.cfg

well for surf it is never going to be smooth for the client but it doesn't help that you are restricting the FPS of the server to 300 try upping that to about 600 or even 0 which is unlimited.

why wouldn't be smooth for the client in surf, I don't get it?

I mean there are alot of smooth surf servers out there..

I tried that, it best worked with 300... sine I have more then one srcds running

Do NOT cap the FPS.

Why wouldn't you cap the FPS. If you have multiple servers and the extra FPS is not needed its the best thing to do really.
