Srcds.exe missing?
#1
Hello.

I've just got a slight problem.
I decided to create my own Dedicated CS:S Server, so I followed this guide.
I downloaded the Update-tool, ran the BAT file, but when everything had completed, the srcds.exe is nowhere to be found.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks.

Where should I write in -verify_all?

And I put a link to the tutorial where it says "This Guide" in my original post.

The BAT file says: c:\HLServer\hldsupdatetool -command update -game cstrike -dir c:\HLServer

I'm running on Windows, and as I said earlier, the srcds.exe file isn't there

add -verify_all to the end of the bat:
c:\HLServer\hldsupdatetool -command update -game cstrike -dir c:\HLServer -verify_all

Did that, nothing changed, though.

This is what happens when I open the BAT file (after I've downloaded everything, of course)

Wait i thought he was making a counterstrike server. And if so then there should be in the cstrike folder not the orangbox folder.

I kept looking a that and it took me a while to figure it out but if his verify all works then it should be in his cstrike folder.
"C:\srcds\cstrike" I believe that is the directory but i am not sure i have never made a cs server.

LOL, you installed CS 1.6. There is no SRCDS because it's not source.
If you want CS:S, make a bat with this in it:
Code:
c:\HLServer\hldsupdatetool -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir C:\HLserver
