Team fortress 2 hostname
#1
The hostname of my tf2 server looks like this:
Code:
[NL] NiceMaps - Payload instant respawn|HLstatsX www.nice-maps.nincreased_maxplayers.payload
It only looks like that in the serverlist, when you are in the server and press tab it shows the correct name

how to get those tags out of the hostname, in server.cfg I have

Code:
hostname "[NL] NiceMaps - Payload Instant respawn|HLstatsX www.nice-maps.nl"

Install an admin mod that can clear your tags Wink
All the main mods SHOULD be able to do it Smile

I already have sourcemod installed
Do I have to set a cvar in sourcemod settings or something?

No, look for a plugin called "Sv_tags disabler".

I thinks its called that.

I fixed it by changing the server name to a shorter name

If thats the case, then maybe they set a static buffer of 64 bytes for the hostname section (possibly in the packet they send for the server list), so when the name is too long it overflows and starts showing the sv_tags fields. I was able to replicate the problem on my tf2 server with a name around 64 bytes.
