hldsupdatetool Is Not Working

Ok i did exactly what both of the posts say and neither of them work for me. It stops when i put in the console command "./hldsupdatetool".
Heres my whole console command if anyone know how to fix this please help.

So yeah i don't what to do at all i really have no experience with linux so this might also be a problem but i am will to learn as much as possible. I am also usually in the group chat if you would like to help me that way.

Changed the name to hldsupdatetool and not hlds.
HLDS is a Half Life Dedicated Server. Wink

Your thread was named HLDS Is Not Working, and then he changed it to hldsupdatetool Is Not Working

Normally I wouldn't edit titles. But if it was a HLDS question, I would have to move it. That and the chances of someone giving you HLDS help is slim.

Ahh ok well it seems slim for me to get help on any Linux stuff for servers so this may even be harder to get help than HLDS but i just have to wait and see.

"After nearly a week with this pain in the ***, I found the problem. Apparently with the Ubuntu Feisty Fawn Server 7.04 installation, it doesn't install a file called lib32gcc1. So all I had to do was sudo apt-get install lib32gcc1 and everthing was fine and dandy."

This worked for me in Ubuntu Hardy 64 bit, as well. If you're running a 64 bit OS, grab those packages.

umm it's not letting me install it i type "apt-get install lib32gcc1" wright heres the error it gave me.
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (13 Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), are you root?

I think that's your problems... I don't think you can run a SRCDS off a powerpc processor.

hmmm well i saw a thing on here for using a ma for a server but i am not sure how well it will perform
