Hosting TF2 dedicated server
#1
Ok I've have the entire HLServer files downloaded and setup, but when I start the server the ip it gives is my router ip the 192.168.2.10 thing... So the server is only avaliable on lan but not the internet. I have the port 27000-27050 open on my router and also set sv_lan to 0. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Yea I've tried doing all those steps and I checked with my ISP and they said those ports aren't blocked. Still no one can see the server on the internet list. Here's a screenshot: http://img501.imageshack.us/img501/7974/73934682sz1.jpg

You have 27020-27050 forwarded twice. See if you can set that to both instead of forwarding twice.

Have you tried to DMZ the sevrer?

Just go into your console(ingame) and type "connect xx.xx.xxx.xxx(your external ip):xxxxx(the port your your dedicated server is using)" then it should work and you should be able to see it and have some one else do taht and them other people should be able to see it cause i see it on my lan list and people join it by internet anyways so just cause it says it's in lan on your doesnt matter i would also recommend looking for it in the normal server list or a custom one if you have one.
