When I host my dedicated tf2 server I get very extreme lag spikes. The players on my server will have normal ping then they will get 900 ping and back down again about every 20 seconds. I'm forwarding the correct port and I have high speed cable.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Post a speed test. "High speed cable" means nothing.

Ya, you don't have enought bandwidth to handle that many slots. Cut it down until you don't see any lag.

Plus some cable companies cut back your upload speed if they notice that you are using a lot. Yours might be one of em.

I cut it down to 18.. and it still lags. So I think Spartanfrog is right. Maybe I'll just call my ISP and see if that makes a difference.

18 is still too many for that connection. drop it to 14.
Install DU Meter or something to monitor your upload, and you'll see exactly how much upload is being used...

It looks like my upload is crap. I don't understand though.. I only have this problem with my TF2 and DOD:S servers but not my gmod server. What would be the difference?

There were never 24 people connected to my tf2 or dod server. Only 5 10 tops and they would all lag... But when I max out my gmod server with 6 people they get great pings.
