making a server worked fine before. but now its doesnt use the ports and ips i give it and uses my external ip instead and no one can join anymore. Ive tried adding -ip/+ip -port/+port to the startup line, it even says it adds the ip's during startup in the cmd window. Ive run outta ideas. I hav all ports needed forwarded. Was wrking a couple weeks ago, havnt touched the folder. i have set up a static ip and specified dns server, so nothing should be changing by itself.

-port 27015

For best network performance.

I use this command line:
Code:
-console -game cstrike -tickrate 66 +fps_max 600 -port 27015 +map de_dust +maxplayers 8 +exec server.cfg
I don't use the -verify_all command because I have edited some of my server files, but there you go Big Grin.

Isn't that what you want the IP to be? Just let it auto-detect it.

no, people see the game as not responding and cannot join, do u notice that the port is messed up?

ps, would this hav anything to do with updating server? if so how do u update.

i see this come up in my actual game console

Socket bound to non-default port 27016 because original port was already in use.

Well, if you installed with HLDS Update Tool correctly your server should be up to date. But, for the port and IP problem, did you every try port forwarding? http://www.portforward.com/ They have a lot of guides there.

Edit:

Oh. Try using 27015

Remove the -port 27015 and see if it works.
