when i don't add -ip or +ip command i get my home local ip : 192.168.2.2 ..the router. LAN.. like only people inside my router can see it.. if i have like 192.168.2.2

I've tried DMZ on router site . added my ip there..no doesn't work. Any ideas ? I really want my dedicated server

I'm having a problem too, my server worked fine, everyone could access it, and all was good, but now, after the most recent update to TF2, my server stays LAN no matter what. I've put it in DMZ, I've had all the right ports forwarded, but it's still staying local. And it's really annoying me, since it worked fine for well over a month.

I feel like it's been blacklisted or something.

Valve does NOT blacklist any servers.
If they did, the old 24+ man hacker TF2 server would have all been blacklisted. They were not.

Remember: The server will ALWAYS show your local IP in the console. Even if it's working from the internet.

Nineaxis, make sure your external IP didn't change.

What error is he Getting ?

my First Question was related to the first post RE UDP Port

The UDP error he's getting:
Code:
Engine Error: Couldn't allocate dedicated server UDP Port
Actually is not a port issue but an IP issue. If you check the FAQ about it, I wrote a full write up about it. it actally has to do with finding an IP.

Remember it is your LAN ip that you have to put into the router when you do that stuff.

Just something i have been told.

Guys. It worked now. I am behind a router with local ip 192.168.2.2
i added that in the command -ip 192.168.2.2
i went to my favorites and added 192.168.2.2
i found my server,. right click > view server info: IP= MY EXTERNAL IP!
Nice Nice Nice.
