Why SRCDS .. why not Steam > Tools > Creat a server there ?

Steam servers use a LOT more resources.
SRCDS also makes it easier to customize.

Also It's alot more annoying and thats a GUI not console like SRCDS.

SRCDS also has a GUI actually.
However it is not recomended.

Plus SRCDS is stand alone and doesn't require Steam running (or an account).

Good point and yeh forgot to mention it does have a GUI on start up; thats unless your starting it up with a command such a bat file.

If you leave out -console from the batch file, it should load as a GUI.

And the Steam-Account based one, crashes when you use e.g. Mani or other Plugins.
(I did with me, only few plugins did work, such as: Eventscripts)
But if you are going to create a server online you should use srcds. Much better. VERY!.

And you can change the gameinfo.txt, file.
