Server not coming up 2 :/
#1
Hi all,

I've read all tutorial and install the css linux server but i can't run it. I got the prompt immediately after the run command.

System : Redhat 7.2 Enigma (Dedicated rent server)
gcc version : 2.96
ldd version : ldd (GNU libc) 2.2.4
uname version : #1 SMP Wed Jan 5 11:51:14 CET 2005

Error message :

./srcds_run +maxplayers 20 +map de_dust +debug +log on

Auto detecting CPU
Using SSE2 Optimised binary.
Auto-restarting the server on crash
Server Quit

And no server on background, no process, nothing ..

I think it's due to the Glibc version but i can't find any 2.3 version for the redhat 7.2

Any help will be appreciated ! Smile

you're renting the server and they'll allow you to update the gcc and glibc?

Maybe try asking your host to upgrade their linux distro?

Nope, you should upgrade those programs to get it working.

If they won't update the distro (theres ALOT of bugs in 7.2) then they must be a crappy host. Who is this with? do you have root? you can probably try tunning up2date yourself.
