srcds.exe memory error?
#1
the server crashes every other day or so with this message or similar:

Quote:---------------------------
srcds.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The instruction at "0x010a1964" referenced memory at "0x13627f5c". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

OK

RAM issue? or what? i reinstalled my TF2 server last night hoping it would fix it but it happened again today.

Do you have any plugins installed?

a lot of stuff causes that error. Could be different plugins, or different maps. As spartanfrog asked, and are you running custom maps?

I bet it's a plugin.

Wow thanks for the fast replies.

I'm using BeetlesMod, but the latest version. I asked Beetle (the creator) but he couldn't replicate the problem and doesn't know what it is. I got a popup about a file being corrupt, so I'm running the chkdsk app with a full sector scan. I'm wondering if something is wrong with either the RAM or hard drive.

Try running a clean install of TF2 with nothing added and see what happens.

Good idea.

Oh, and I do have custom maps in the maps folder, but when it crashes it is on stock. warpath, dustbowl, and goldrush. doesn't matter - all of them have crashed.

I will try to run it without plugins for a day or so and see what happens.

Thanks for your help guys - I'm sick of forums with arrogant people that put down others, so I'm glad this forum is truly how a forum should be.

I'll post back once I figure out anything.

Are you running steam bans?
I know that was giving me errors when shutting down.
