my server won't show up early in the steam internet search no matter what i do. i have tried all 5 of my ips, tried changing ports, set the sv_region flag to both east and west coast, and nothing will get it to show up any earlier than 1300. does anyone know what i can do?

yes i did use the correct ip, matches with that site.

I am not using port forwarding. I don't know how to do that. I am using FreeBSD 7. My server is at a datacenter, I can only connect via ssh.

You can't do anything, but that's OK. Your server will be first to someone.

What is your datacenter IP? What is your IP?

The steam masterservers will start distributing servers near your IP. For example if you have IP 1.2.3.4 and your server has IP 6.7.8.9, then you'll see your server very "far" in the list. However, someone with IP 6.7.8.10 will probably see your server as first. It's that kind of neat logic in the Steam masterservers. The IPs which are similar to your IP most likely have good ping. That's why it's good to first send those IPs to whoever is asking.
