HLstatsX Linux Installation help
#1
I tried to search everywhere for the problem but haven't found much. If this has been asked already im sorry in advance.

Ok the latest version of hlstatsx is installed on my linux server that is running Fedora Core 8, I've changed both the hlstats.conf and the hlstats.php files correctly according to the install. I've modified the php.ini to specs as well.

Here is the problem

When I went to

http://********/hlstats.php?mode=admin

I got a initial error

Code:
HLstats requires magic_quotes_gpc to be enabled. Check your php.ini or refer to the PHP manual for more information.

then i refreshed the page just in case then i get the standard

Code:
HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
The website cannot display the page.

I've double checked the .conf and hlstats.php files as well as the php.ini. I guess I'm just completely stumped on this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

did you restart apache after making these changes? Changes made in the php.ini file are only made upon apaches start up.

There should be 4 or so references to magic_quotes_gpc in your php.ini, have you set all these to on, and/or removed the ; at the start of the line?
