HLDS problem-friends cannot see
#16
I was just googling, and a guy was saying(maybe on these forums, maybe you Big Grin ), that those computers that have an Internal IP address(192.168.xx.xx)
have that error if they put in their external IP address in the shortcut to HLDS(which I had). I changed my IP to 192.168.1.16(my internal) and HLDS is able to find the port now.

What my next concern is, that do I have to mention my ext IP somewhere in the server, or if I tell my friend my ext IPToungueORT, they'll be able to see my server?

Just give your friends your external IP.
Your server doesn't need to know it.

The ip command is only for if you have more then one NIC installed. Since 99% of people only have one NIC, rarely is an ip command actually needed.

Please do not PM me for server related help
