Quick Restart

I just uploaded Mani's admin to a rented server my clan has. I just wanted to do a quick refresh to update all of the new settings, but mp_restartgame isn't working, though I didn't think it would.

Is there any way that I can refresh the server settings from rcon? Or do I need to use some sort of control panel to do this?

Ummm just typing restart in the console doesn't seem to do anything, but what is hlsw short for?

exec server.cfg should do what you need it to do, since mani admin is executed from the server.cfg (don't forget to use ma_rcon or rcon in front of the command if running the command from the client)

changing the map should also result in similar effect.

typing "exit" in the server console should shut down your source server and restart it as well, only if you have a custom script to start the server, or you are using the srcds_run to start the server.

Well, rcon exec config.cfg doesn't seem to do it, so is there maybe a problem with how I put in mani? Is there a run command that I need to put in the config file maybe?

Also, I have to do everything as a client.

hmm, with mani plugin, admin_rcon restart SHOULD work... not sure why its not..

you need to restart the server totally i.e shut it down and start it again ask your host odo this

I've used rcon and entered the following things as an attempt to get it working....

rcon mp_restartgame
rcon exec config
rcon exec config.cfg
rcon config
rcon exec autoexec
rcon exec autoexec.cfg
(insert other combos here)
restart
rcon restart
rcon exec mani_server.cfg (etc)

Note: some of those did do things (like server.cfg) but none of them activated mani. Why does it hate me?

I just wanted to thank you guys for all of your help. I've got it working, I got access to the control panel and gave the server a full reboot, and its all set now.

I haven't seen this answer but I will answer with what I do. If you have HLSW, and RCON you could just type quit provided you have a restart program running on the server. Thats what I did and all the new changes to MANI mod will work. You also have to actually shut the server down to do certain updates with mani mod. We have an applet made by serverdoc that lets me do that.

You might want to see if you server host has that for ya. Hope this helps ya.
