TF2 Setup Problem - Fedora Core Segmentation Fault?
#1
When I ran the command to first download and install TF2, it got to 95% before giving an error and quitting. Now if I run the update command again, it says "segmentation fault". I can't start the server either, it says "./srcds_run: No such file or directory".

Help?

Server is in my home, running Fedora Core 5.

I tried deleting everything to do a fresh install, but now it just gets stuck at the "./steam" command with the segmentation fault error.

I updated to FC6, and it's still giving me the same error when I try to run "./steam".

EDIT: Updated all the way to Fedora 8, still have the same error.

I installed ncompress and ran it as a non-root user, and it worked, but now I have the original issue, except this time it only went to 77.75%.

Code:

Hi
it seems that fc5. messed my hd. up.
So a new install with fc8, or a low level format will do the trick.
remember to redo the install command until you reach 100

See above? It's me doing a fresh install on FC8 and what happens.
