Continous cmd pinging can lower your ping
#1
Well i found out after a few experiments, that if i ping a server on cmd with -t command, after an hour, the ping drops to half. i Had a few friends try it, and from 500 it went to 250 just by pinging the server they were gonna play in an hour. Can someone else test it as well?

Don't do that.
My server was getting nailed by your pings, I would block your IP before you knew what happened.

Please do not PM me for server related help

it's most likely due to time of day and not your pinging. ping the server 4 times every hour and look at the time change through out the day and day of the week.

pinging a server for an hour will not help at all. being later in the night say 6pm vs 10pm will make a HUGE difference.

lol you wont even notice since its only 32 bytes. dont worry, its not DoS.
And btw i have dynamic ip so i use a domain for my server.

Or if you want, you can try ping mine : system-error-message.servegame.com

Well i check for mine by pinging a server further away. it was the same all the time after it dropped from 380 to 90 and stayed average 90 all the time. And thats pinging 24/7. i did check properly. But you can test with google first, or my server. i wouldnt mind the pinging as long as it is 32 bytes. If its more than that, i'd start using a ping regulator and block all pings that are above 32 bytes.

And i did say continous, as in command prompt: ping [ip/server] -t
