Help making a CS:S server on Windows XP

I am on windows XP and I get to the part that says hldsupdatetool -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir C:\srcds. Do I type that in the cmd? or do I type like
hldsupdatetool
command install or update HLDS
<game> "Counter-Strike Source"
<installdir>C:\srcds

Type it as one line (ie only press enter at the end of c:\srscds)

The easiest way I have found to do this, is right click hldsupdatetool.exe, click send to, desktop (create shortcut). go to your desktop, right click on the file, go to properties, edit "C:\srcds\hldsupdatetool.exe". (or where ever you put it)
should look like C:\srcds\hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir C:\srcds"
when you are done.
next click ok.
then double click the shortcut.
Should work.

Did you install hldsupdatetool first?
Do that first, double click and install it to c:\hldsupdatetool\
then make a folder on your C drive (if there isn't already) called srcds.
Then go to Run and type cmd and press ok.
then type these commands:

cd c:\hldsupdatetool
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir C:\srcds

That should work
