Urgent Help Needed
#1
When I use the command
Code:
./srcds_run -console -game /home/Gaming/srcds_l/cstrike/ +ip 85.8.130.198 -port 27025 +maxplayers 14 +map de_dust2

I get the following message:

Auto detecting CPU
Using SSE2 Optimised binary.
Auto-restarting the server on crash
Console initialized.
Network: IP 85.8.130.198, mode MP, dedicated Yes, ports 27025 SV / 27005 CL
Attempted to create unknown entity type event_queue_saveload_proxy!
Game .dll loaded for "Counter-Strike: Source"
./srcds_run: line 426: 12148 Segmentation fault $HL_CMD

What do I do to get the server to work?

Hi AD66,
have the same problem like you, so can you please tell me how you fixed it?

I had that problem once (not the same line, but same kind of error message), and I am not sure exactly what fixed it, because I did 2 things. 1. changed the ram. and 2. Upgraded my linux distro to RHEL 4.

Another person I know had a very similar problem and was able to fix it by running while logged in as root. And I think someone on the steam forums had a similar experience as well, and fixed the same way.

I got that error and I was running as root, but what I did was have the server migrated to a different box as I was using a virtual one, and that might have different system specs I am not sure.

Meanwhile I found out that this problems happens only with the map de_dust. Maybe this map on my server is corrupt, so I will try to reinstall.
