image in html motd not always loading

I currently have an HTML MOTD. It's under the character limit, so I have it stored on my server. However, the html motd links to an image which is hosted on my webserver on a totally different machine.

Sometimes, the image will not display with the rest of the motd. I've found that when you first join the server, the image will usually not display. However, on successive map changes, the image will usually display.

Seems to me that there is some sort of time limit for loading the motd?
Also, could I fix this by putting a redirect as the server-side motd.txt file which links to the html on my webserver?

In your motd.txt, simply add:

Code:

http://mawebsite.com/motd.html

for example. It should then automagically load the specified web page as the MOTD.

I've had this problem with TF2 not loading images first time. The way round it, is to copy the html from your webpage, insert it into your motd... but then do a 2 second redirect to your webpage, then the images will show.
