Hello,
I'm having a problem with my Counter-Strike Source Server. I'm running the server under Ubuntu 7.10 64bit with the standard kernel (2.6.22-14) and i'm having an fps issue. fps cannot be higher than 50. It seems that this is the limit. Tried different settings -tickrate 100-66 etc and also with fps_max but without any luck.
Can somebody help me?
Thx

you need to either make a new kernel or pick the real time kernel that is provided (i think its provided anyway) during boot at the grub screen.

Just curious, is this 64bit desktop edition Ubuntu?
Server edition comes with realtime as default (can't remember if desktop did too, but maybe not since above).

i think this was the server edition (kernel was named 2.6.22-14-server / smp ). But the Ubuntu Edition was provided by my rootserver provider so i'm not really sure

I have a strange problem with the 64-Bit version of Ubuntu 7.10
It doesn't matter what kernel I'm using (vanilla, rt-kernel, own 1000Hz kernel-patch), the max. FPS are limited to ~340 !
I started the server with tickrate 100 and fps_max 600 or 1000.
On 32-Bit Ubuntu, I can run srcds at ~500 FPS...

Okay, I did this with my ubuntu 7.10.
My system is two Quadcores 711 intel 2.6ghz yada yada
Stats in console went from 126max (It stayed at the after stats 20times)
I ran that command and downloaded it.
Now It's going round 166 up to 247fps
I guess I don't have the server set to it's own core so could that be the reason it's fps is so low. max_fps is set to 600
It's 64bit ubuntu as well desktop.
