ip problem

currently im running a css server on windows xp pro from my home and it al works fine except 1 thing

my ip changes every 36 houres (its because of my provider, he hives me a dynamic ip)

now is my question is there a way to get a static ip or force the server to a particular ip ???

i thought it was possible on linux if you put it in the start up command is it tru ?

You can only assign servers to IP address you own. So no, unless you get a static IP, it will change every time.

Yeah doesnt matter what OS. Sorry Best bet is to get a static IP
