A problem and a question ;)

Question
First the question:
Is there a Variable for forbidding "Spraypaints" on our server?

And my Problem:

Our Server (*V.I.E.R*Clan [INSTANT RESPAWN] etc.) runs really good...but only to 90%.
The pings are low, there are (almost) no lags. The only lags appear every 20 to 40 minutes. The server seems to stop, in the upper right corner appears the counter for a disconnect. Then this disconnect is 3 to 6 seconds, and after it all works great again.
This makes me angry because a lot of players leave in those 3 to 6 seconds where they dont have a connection...But only the game tiselve stops. Teamspeak still runs, Ingamechat works and ingame VoiceoverIP works too(!). Is there any option i can setup, so that there the server gets higher performance? (I set players to 18, so that theres better performance...didnt help).
I know you think: 3 to 6 seconds lag every 20 to 40 minutes...thats not that bad. For me it is...because if a full server changes to empty in this short time...it sucks... (BTW the people leave by themselves, ingamechat and voip still works as i mentioned)

By the sounds of it your server is crashing and restarting again....Your teamspeak server has nothing to do with your game server. By any chance is this being run from your house, if so that is probably your problem....Data Center FTW...

Hey Hey be nice, lol. Home hosting is fine if you know what you are doing.....which most people dont. Are you able to monitor what is happening to the actual server (no the game server) during these lag spikes?

Home hosting is not fine for srcds. It requires alot of bandwidth, and not only that it requires steady bandwidth, and most of the routes are far from utilized there just set up so the connection can be made. For all you know most people connecting to your home server are pulling almost 30 hops... Also almost all ISP's DO NOT ALLOW servers and before you know it they will block the ports. I can tell you from expirence Time Warner and Verizon do not allow servers. You can do it but if they see you using a steady amount of bandwidth all the time the ports will be blocked on there side....

Here is aperfect example of why the routes are not utilized. I have Verizion FIOS which most of you know is Fiber right into your home, my buddy in canada pulls 50 ping and good tracert's to my IP but then two of my buddy's that live in my area hit an average of 150-200 and there tracert's are terrible, and there all in within a 10 miles of my house. They both have Time Warner and the routes are just terrible. I have the bandwidth 20Mbps down and 20Mbps up....

I host with Verizon *knocks on wood* and have had no problems. Everbody, cept UK (go figure) gets under 100 ping and usually under 50. Sounds like it didnt work for you but some people, including me, it works fine for. It is definitly better to colocate though.
