anyone know how to make the server run in the background ,screen w/e on fedora 6?

Make sure screen is installed first, then do:
Code: screen <yourcommand> ..then press CTRL+A+D to "exit" the screen (although it will still run in the background). You can log out of the shell and it will still be running. When you want to return to the server, just type: screen -r into your shell and it'll appear again. From there you can interact with it as normal. -- It can also be useful to put your startup line into a file (e.g runserver.sh) so that you don't have to type it all out each time.
yeah got it , thanks
is there anything i can do to get the FPS higher? so far i can get 988FPS in srcds (cs source) i know a guy who runs the same distro "fedora 6" he can get 997

I'm not really sure; you shouldn't need more than 988FPS anyway
