Nephyrin from Nephyrin.net has made a file which allows server ops to run 32 player linux servers. Both the Windows and Linux instructions can be found at the following location (along with the files).

It is possible to run more than 32 players? I'm only running TF2 on my server, and I've definitely got the bandwidth and hardware to manage more.

Also, how you guys get your servers populated? If I don't sit in the game with a few friends, nobody every logs into my server Sad

Just keep joining it with like 5-10 friends every night you can for a month. You gotta get regulars.

Good to know. I wish I had a PC at home. I have a Linux workstation at the office and Macs at home, so I need to head to the local game center to play. I can't play as much as I would like. I couldn't get TF2 to run under Wine, otherwise I'd be playing every night!

I hope I can get my server populated. It's on a 100Mbit connection with an average 15ms ping. I work in a datacenter with several OC-48 connections, so I'm spoiled Smile

Lucky I run it at home lol. Just make a community and get people to join your community. Thats how I got mine populated.
