Issues after TF2 update

Hi,

I am seeing the below now after I ran HLDSUPDATE tool...

any ideas why it might be?

and yes the update did finsish and I have done a verify_all as well Sad

Try running it again, valve's stuff can do that sometimes Toungue
and just for reference, this is the command I use to update:

HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game tf -dir c:\hlserver -verify_all

Thanks for the reply, same command line as I use, and yes I have run it at least 10 times, over the couple of days.....still with the same results :-

Checking bootstrapper version ...
Updating Installation
Checking/Installing 'Team Fortress 2 Content' version 15


Checking/Installing 'Team Fortress 2 Materials' version 7


Checking/Installing 'Base Source Shared Materials' version 8


Checking/Installing 'Base Source Shared Models' version 4


Checking/Installing 'Base Source Shared Sounds' version 4

HLDS installation up to date

you can try deleting the installrecord.blob file then run the update.

I have the same thing going on and tried deleting the installrecord.blob, but did not work for me either. hope someone gets us a fix soon. my server still works fine, this is just annoying...

yep can confirm that deleting the installrecord.blob file has made no difference at all Sad

Did you turn off the server first before updating?

Allright, mine is fixed, i had to delete the whole install and re-install the server. added mani and everything is great!

I too have this problem of missing particles error and i don't know where to find the skill1.cfg i found a server.cfg on the net cause i couldnt find it ethier.

Got this error this morning while updating a server. Suppose I'm going to have to reinstall this server :/

I get the same problem but the server is working fine, since I dont sit and stare at the console im going to have to chose the "out of sight, out of mind" route on this one heheh. No way Im reinstalling Toungue
