Hi. I've been trying to install the TF2 Dedicated Server on my Debian machine for a couple of days now, and I read about every thread in this forum, but nothing worked.
First things first: When I issue the verify_all command, all files are there. When that wasn't working, I thought maybe I'd get the files from somewhere else, I deleted the whole folder, and then downloaded a .tar.bz2 from this forum, extracted it, tried to run it but the same error came up. Then I updated the unpacked folder using hldsupdate, and verify_all'd it, and again, my server is up to date.
The error I keep getting is the "bad bone weights".
I run the server using (for example, but it doesn't really matter):
epo@red:~/tf2/orangebox$ ./srcds_run -game tf -console -tickrate 100 -fps_max 500 +map ctf_2fort -debug
After some more reading on newsgroups, I found out that maybe Pentium III's aren't supported? Can anyone confirm this? This is my /proc/cpuinfo:
