Should post the IP... Smile

Now wouldn't that be too easy?? Smile

I don't have the ip in front of me...I know the internal ip, but not the external ip....

I've updated to 1000hz kernel and am running tf on 209.220.96.74:27015. I'd like to get the server peaked to see how it performs.

One odd thing is that at 0 users, it's drawing 2.8% CPU time, whereas on the default kernel it barely uses any cpu (0.0% reported).

Is there a reasoning behind this?

What kernel version are you running?

So, it's running 100 tick and 600 max_fps, runs nice until about 16 players, then it jumps from 50-60% cpu to a nice 99% and people start leaving when they can't move around anymore... sounds like bugs in srcds to me.

Any ideas, all?

So, you think it's likely that my server is just not powerful enough to run more than 16 players at 100 tick?

I think it may be related to the 2.6 kernels but not sure. Have read several articles related to this CPU usage on other apps besides SRCDS.

Still haven't had anyone on my new Fedora 8 (TEST-3) server to find out if I'm experiencing the same CPU spikes.

Found some interesting issues with vm.swappiness and the 2.6 kernels.

Here's a quick link:
