Weird Problem with my clan members
#1
I am hosting a Counter-Strike Source Dedicated server usind SRCDS.exe.

http://www.majdamage.org/cs/index.php?ip=www.majdamage.org&port=27015

here is the problem....

It is seen on the Internet and there are always people playing in it most days.
but some times My Clan Members say they cant connect to it.
They say it says server not responding, This happens even when other people are in it at that time.

I also use a Domain Name and not an IP as it is DHCP and my ip changes. I use no-ip service http://www.no-ip.com it keeps track of my IP and changes the DNS to match the Domain name.

What would be causing them not to be able to join but others on the internet are able?

I can join because I play in it on my local LAN network, so I cant see the problem and fix it.

Help Please

You said the problem in your post - When your IP changes the DNS records get changed. Usually it takes 12-48 hours to propogate around the world and varies on different ISP's. So basically it means that the DNS records your clanmates are seeing differ from the ones other people are seeing. Basically without getting a Static IP you won't be able to fix that problem - Just either give your new IP to your clanmates personally or wait till the DNS propogates.

I do give them the IP or they Ping my connection, either way they still are unable to connect...

As much as I would like to help on this but i see something VERY wrong. You claimed that cs:s script as your own work. I don't like that.

Are you behind a personal router or firewall ? If so do you have the ports properly forwarded/opened to receive the incoming connections ? That's really odd that some people would be able to connect but not others.
