Unable to load module bin/vphysics_i486.so!
#1
I recently moved to Linux again, and after downloading all of the server files, I run into this error:

AppFramework : Unable to load module bin/vphysics_i486.so!
Unable to load interface VPhysics031 from bin/vphysics_i486.soSun Sep 23 12:23:40 CDT 2007: Server Q

I have redownloaded all of the files about 6 times and I have also verified the whole thing with the verify all command and it still doesn't work.

In addition, it says that the connection was reset between downloading each different section of the server (ex. sounds/server files/ etc.). I just run the command until it says that the server is fully updated.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

what srcds are you runining srcds_run or srcds1486_run?

and connection reset is just them dropping you, they dont mean it, but theyve been getting flooded since their recent platform updates, and now the release of tf2 beta

I am having the same problem.

I have tried 2 computers, Windows XP & 98. Now am using Ununtu Server 7.04. I have tried turning off firewalls and virus. I have also tried plugging the computer up directly to the cable modem with out the router in the way. But no matter what I try I keep getting these winsock 10054 errors, I also just keep trying until it says it's updated, but neither the windows or Linux versions will run. I suspect our problem is related to these winsock errors, and that it is not downloading "all" the files when these errors take place. If anyone can shed some light on this, please help.

Thank you so much, it worked like a charm... My server is now up and running on my Linux box. I've been working on this for days.

I believe that this problem had something to do with the TF2 beta. It seems like the files weren't all getting transfered from Steam. Anyway, I just waited a bit and then did a clean reinstall and PRESTO, it worked.
