Admin in my server

FIrstly,i would like to ask about how can i become an admin in my server...secondly,i would like someone to tell me how can my server be online?(i've forwarded all my ip and i still find my server on the Lan option ONLY and not on the internet)somenone tell me exactly what to do and plz don't type links to other forums.I believe i can get the help i want from this forum...

Use it to make groups for different admins and add clients such as your self. Then if you run it on a network, it will always be under lan for you but people should be able to connect.

look...i generated a clients.txt file but where do i put it? in the cfg folder?or anywhere else?

Put in in cfg/mani-admin-plugin/
there should be a lot of text files there.

ok man i did that i'm gonna try it now..oh and something else...i wanna test if my server IS online so... i give you the IP address of my server and plz search for it...i will be playing in it for a half an hour so plz come quick!

First off, did u use the ip u connect to or did you go to http://www.whatismyip.com ?
Because 192.168.178.21 sure sounds like a network one that i will not be able to connect to.

Also im not able to play at this moment because i have to re-download css. Sorry but it should be online.

Look man... when i start my server i find it at the "Lan"tab and when i choose "view server info"the ip address of the server is the one i gave you...But in whatsmyip.com it shows me a different ip address.Should i put THAT IP address in the clients.txt so i can be an admin?

ok if someone is willing to search for my server plz tell me because i don't want to wait just for nothing...i don't even know if my server is online!!!that's why i want anyone who tries to connect to tell me first...name of the server "Greek server -Dion"

You don't normally use an IP address in the clients.txt file. Normally you use your SteamID (which you can find by joining any public server and typing status in the console - it's the STEAM_0:XXXXX like thing next to your name), although if you're on the same computer as the server it might be STEAM_ID_LAN, but I'm not sure about that.

IP addresses beginning with 192.168 are internal IP address - they're for your LAN only. Since you're running your server on your own computer, for you it will always appear in the LAN tab. For other people they should be given the IP address found at http://www.whatismyip.com

Bear in mind that this will only work if you've set up port forwarding on your router properly.

So i will just give you my external IP address...ok according to whatismyip.com my external IP address is 62.1.134.252 and i have forwarded all the ports in my router.I hope it is online promise me you will try to join the server...

Doesn't work for me - just times out. Are you sure you've forwarded the ports correctly? Portforward.com have good tutorials on setting it up for different routers. Pick your router, then choose Half Life 2 Steam Server from the next list.

ok after 3 hours of thinking i believe i figured it out.I'll just put a server on again and see

Now...i've installed the mani admin mod in my server but something isn't right...In the adminlist.txt there is my steam id (STEAM_x:x:xxxxxx)but when i join the server and type "admin" in the console window it says i'm not an admin! why is that?someone answer me plz..........
