(i am also trying to get the darn quake sounds to work, so does anyone also know if i need the server.cfg in order for the quake sounds to work?)

Muppet Wrote:fps_max 1000

This is completely off topic, but are there any benefits for using this command on a kernel that isn't 1000Hz?

Basically, no.

Hey, i pasted in Muppet's server.cfg, and i now have some new problems in my server: at first, all my skins were gone, and my quake sounds werent working (but if you type "quake" they are enabled, and if you type settings they appear). THEN, i changed sv_pure from 2 to 1. Now, i have my CT skins working, but not my gun/gloves working. The quake sounds still dont work either, but like before, they appear when you type "settings" or "quake". Any ideas?? what else must i change in the server.cfg???

exec mani_server.cfg
exec mani_quake_sounds.cfg

or something like that. If you want to use custom skins for guns just put sv_pure 0 and sv_consistency 0. Just sounds like you dont have quake sounds on by default...

ok, well, after my last post (before reading muppets last one), the cstrike-planet site was working suddenly for me, so i made the .cfg there, and now the quake sounds/skins work. BUT, my adverts, and "votemap." now dont work.

Here is my server.cfg.

You need to open mani_server.cfg and edit the vote section settings and turns on adverts in there as well.

Then i think, the file is called adverts.txt where you add the adverts (sorry if you've already done this) - but just sounds like these options are turned off in your mani_server.cfg

hmm, everything is back to normal now. turns out the adverts and voting options were off in the mani_Server.cfg, but i never even bothered to look there, because just yesterday they were working fine! so its as if they got reset somehow. But now everythings good. Thanks a lot man. Oh by the way, when i use the mani admin menu, it doesnt carry out the command. i heard that some steam update caused this, is that right? Do you recommend any other plugins that enable a menu for a admin?

The best version for windows is Beta 1.2O.

Otherwise, load Mani Admin using Metamod:Source instead of stand-alone.

ah ok. I got metamod source now. is there a built in in-game menu for Metamod:Source?

From MM:S website:

Quote:Metamod:Source is an API manager and interception handler that sits in between the Half-Life 2 Engine (Source) and a subsequent Game Modification (MOD). It can dynamically load "Metamod:Source Plugins", written in C++, to intercept, override, and hook Engine and GameDLL API interfaces. It also allows for inter-plugin communication.

So the answer would be no. You will notice there is a mani_admin_mm file somewhere in a bin folder. If you want to run Mani via MM:S then delete the original dll file (mani_admin.dll i assume - or something similar) and then load Mani Admin as a MM:S plugin like any other.

oh ok, thanks. Its just that if the mani admin menu would work, it would be so easy to issue commands and stuff, as opposed to having to type in the actaul console command

Make sure that in clients.txt, the "admin" flag is included in the list of flags, otherwise the menu won't work.

um, the clients.txt? i dont have any clients.txt
