Help with running srcds command prompt

I really need help running the command prompt for srcds... when i type in the command it tells me it says it was unable to comply >.<.
What shall i do?

Well muppet i copy this in the command prompt

C:
cd \srcds
hldsupdatetool

like it told me to and it give me this............

The system cannot find the path specified.

and HLDSUpdatetool' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Try..

C:
mkdir \srcds
cd \srcds

Then try your hldsupdatetool.

OMG IM LOST ON THIS.. i Saved it in C and he did F i know its different but i need to follow the same procces with the file C >.<

just change where he uses: f:\blah blah to c:\blah blah it's not that hard.

just delete the c:\srcds folder and follow the guide again.
