No, it's not necessarily the same, that's why I asked. That and it's kinda hard to follow your description sometimes.
That being said If I were you I would uninstall .NET 2.0, uninstall PanelDaemon, disk clean up, defrag, reboot, scan for malware (you ran it on the net 2 days unpatched), re-install PanelDaemon, re-install .NET 2.0, reboot and test. Nothing more nothing less, in that order. Good luck.

WOW, thanks, that actually worked! I guess the order I installed NET 1.1, 2.0 and PanelDaemon was messed up. But that fixed it: I get a services listing now. Sorry if my earlier posts were unclear, I guess I should have been a little more specific as to the localhost and the NO-IP pages being the same. Thank you so much for your patience with my noobness. :-p

Now I'm just trying to find the SRCDS service in the list. Am I supposed to add it somehow by adding something to the launch options for the srcds.exe shortcut? I made sure I had it running in the background when I loaded the /PanelDaemon/Admin page.
