My server is not responding

When i create a server with source dedicated server and somebody tries to join it it sais: "server is not responding"

I can neither create servers in Gmod10, hl2:deathmatch or dod: source.

Is my internet connection to bad or what?

What do i do?

I don't think "Server is not responding" is a proper error message. Could you take a screenshot of the actual error?

Yes it is. It's not working because i think it might be some firewall and/or portforwarding you need. You need to open the ports requiered for the server.

I'm going by actual error messages in srcds or half life 2. If it's what I'm thinking of it would be, as you said, a firewall problem.

Lasse, open ports 27015 and 27011 on your firewall/router. If you don't know how to do this, take a trip to http://www.portforward.com and pick your router model out
