custom map on srcds
#1
Hi, I have a serious problem. I have worked on a really great hl2mp map for about 3 months. Now I wanted to publish it and achieved a linux server in the internet to run this map. ( it is a Suse Linux 9.0 Server)
I have installed the Source Dedicated Server sucessfully and ran the two maps dm_lockdown and dm_overwatch. Both worked fine. But when I install my custom map it always crashes the server with the following error:

------------------
maxplayers set to 4
Executing dedicated server config file
Error reading weapon data file for: weapon_annabelle
Error reading weapon data file for: weapon_bugbait
Error reading weapon data file for: weapon_citizensuitcase
Error reading weapon data file for: weapon_citizenpackage
./srcds_run: line 423: 12315 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $HL_CMD
cat: hlds.12311.pid: No such file or directory
email debug.log to linux@valvesoftware.com
Mon Feb 7 14:04:34 CET 2005: Server restart in 10 seconds
Mon Feb 7 14:04:37 CET 2005: Server Quit
------------------

On a Windows Dedicated Server the map runs fine. So what could this be, and how to I find out, what to change in my map that it runs.

Any help would be really great !

Heureka, I got it !!!!

It has been a func_useable_ladded that stuck a little bit within a displacement.

I hope, I can help all the others out there, who have the same problem, it was really annoying.

I'm pretty new to running a source server, and I am having a similar problem with a map I am trying to run on a linux server. It runs fine on windows, but not on linux. Could you explain your solution a bit more? it sounds like you figured something out that I would like to try, but I'm not quite sure what you are referring to.
