I've added the following to my server.cfg
bot_add
bot_quota 5
bot_quota_mode normal
bot_difficulty 2
bot_chatter minimal
bot_auto_follow 1
bot_auto_vacate 1
bot_join_after_player 0
bot_defer_to_human 0
bot_allow_rogues 0
bot_walk 0
bot_join_team A
bot_eco_limit 2000
bot_allow_grenades 1
bot_all_weapons
bot_allow_grenades 1
bot_allow_pistols 1
bot_allow_sub_machine_guns 1
bot_allow_shotguns 1
bot_allow_rifles 1
bot_allow_snipers 1
bot_allow_machine_guns 1

When it starts up, it has the same list of commands with "unknown command" in front of all of them.

If I use Mani menu, I get the following error:
L 03/06/2007 - 20:22:13: [MANI_ADMIN_PLUGIN] Admin [myUser [STEAM_0:0:1181119] Executed : rcon command [bot_add]
Unknown command "bot_add"

If I type bot_add into server console I get:
unknown command "bot_add"

So, how does one install or config a DOD:S server to allow bots?

DoD:s does not naturally allow bots in server ( i dont kno why, but meh) There is a trick to getting it done, but you'd have to do it every time the server changes map.

in console you need to enable cheats

sv_cheats 1

Once it has been enabled you can add your bots using

bot_add in console.

Add as many bots as you need. then return sv_cheats 0.

If your doing it in-game you have to log-in to rcon via: rcon_password <yourrconpassword>.
To add bots use: bot_add_t to add a bot to Terrorists, and use bot_add_ct to add a bot to Counter-Terrorists. I don't think bot_add is a command, but I could be wrong

Oops, I forgot to say you have to do that in-game or in the Source dedicated server box. Not in server.cfg.

Not trying to spam guys, Ill tell you how to add/confiqure the bots in the game.
You can not do it in server.cfg.

To do it in Server box just type the command name like: bot_add_ct.
Which adds a bot to Counter-terrorists.

To do it in-game you have to log-in to rcon or turn cheats on.
Then type the bot command.

So, how does one install or config a DOD:S server to allow bots?

dod:s has no self bots like css. install them as a plugin or something else.

You know, i couldn't find out how to add bots in dod:s either, there must be a different command to a add a bot in dod:s.
