hldsupdatetool
#1
Hello,
if i use the tool: hldsupdatetool

and the following command:

(copy/paste tutorial - have my own user + pass)
./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir . -username killer123 -password moomoo -remember_password

I don't see any: ./srcds_run
I only have hlds_run!

Why?

Do i need a newer version of hldsupdatetool?

It can download HL2MP and CS Course!
But I'm not able to find the file: srcds_run and to start a source server!

I'm running on Suse 9.2

Here is what ./steam says:
Use:

Create a Steam Account:
-create <username> <password> <question> <answer>

Install or update HLDS:
-update <game> <installdir> <username> [<password> [Y]]
Y => remember password

View installed versions:
-version

Is this an old version?
I used this line:

./steam -command create -username <username> -email <email> -password <password> -question <question> -answer <answer>

And it just shows the:

Use:

Create a Steam Account:
-create <username> <password> <question> <answer>

Install or update HLDS:
-update <game> <installdir> <username> [<password> [Y]]
Y => remember password

View installed versions:
-version

again! HELP!

try running
Code:
./steam -update
it should then update your steam tool. once it does,
Code:
rm -rf ~/.steam
then run
Code:
./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir . -username killer123 -password moomoo -remember_password

Now it works! (created a new account)
Think it was because I used the same account, that I also used for 1.6 server!
Can this be the problem?
