Mapcycle/random map vote

This is very annoying
I do not have a mapcycle because i do not have a file called mapcycle.txt!!
I have to change to map manually each time!
And when i have a random map vote, it only has the regular maps like cs_assault, de_dust etc. How can i make it so i have some surf maps and fun maps in there?

you can make your own mapcycle.txt just put the maps names in it

example:

cs_assault
de_nuke
cs_militia
de_westwood
fy_iceworld_css
scoutzknivez

I did that, but still when i had done that, random map vote still came up with the same maps

think you have too make a mapvotes.ini file and put your maps in there one per line then put it in your addons

for the random vote, which list of maps is your mani looking at mapcycle.txt or maplist.txt? make it point to the right one and you're set.

I have neither of those files, but i created a mapcycle.txt how do i make mani point to that?
