Master Server List
#1
I am starting to host servers. I finally got the first one up (61.9.220.65:27015) working perfectly except for the lag (which i need to fix). Now the problem is you can add this server to your favourites fine, anyone can join, but when you look in the Steam Master List its nowhere to be found. Now don't go replying saying do you have sv_region 5, ports fowarded (wouldn't be on net), updating or anything stupid that i allready know. This has been bugging me for a few weeks now i can't find any sollution for it. Would be greatful if somone has a fix.. might even send you some cash Toungue

Cheers

it seems that some routers refuse to forward properly... should check out that the ports for them are also forwarded as i doubt that they go over standard ports

Just an FYI...

You can't use Xfire or STEAM to test the server if the server and the Test PC are on the same internal network. If you do, you will see the Server will appear in your Lan Games list, but not in the Internet Games list. That's normal. Don't just assume it's not showing in the STEAM list outside from this. It very well may still be working and you just don't know it.

Use this link to test it:

http://www.gametiger.net/search?address=

If it shows up here, you're good to go and it's in STEAM's List and available via Xfire.

Also, You should wait at least 10 minutes between tests for the Gametiger list to show your server. It takes that long some times for it to come through after you make changes and restart your Server.

I wasted 3 days on this same problem and found it was working all the time but couldn't see it at my house. Sounds stupid, but it's true.

Good luck!

Idiot, SPAM means I have to read your shit. I read all posts on these forums, so next time just post something 1 time.

Hope you get banned soon (not likely).

I read you LOUD and CLEAR. Sorry man. But you need to relax. Somewhere you missed that I was just trying to help people out. If this is how you treat people who try to help others out here, there's no need to ban me. I'll be gone anyway. Like I said, I hope you have a better day. Merry Christmas
