I looked in /home/cs-source (where i installed it) and didn't see any log files. Is there some other directory where it would be?

you need to add -debug to generate a debug.log for linux you need gdb, dunno if its needed for FreeBSD, do yuo have linux compatibility installed and enabled?

Yes i did run it with -debug and it still didn't output a debug.log. And about the linux compatibility, im not sure if it is installed, i will check that now.

Yes i know, i had some problems installing, but i found a fix for the libintl.so.5 error i was getting: http://tomster.org/geek/freebsdcookbook/tidbits/gettextupgrade

But, after installing linux_base and rebooting, I'm still getting the same error.

Well the server starts up now, and I can connect to it. Not exactly sure what made it work but I think that installing (or reinstalling/updating):
/usr/ports/emulators/linux_base
/usr/ports/emulators/linux_base-8

Then installing:
glib-2.2.3 :: http://cvsweb.freebsd.org/ports/devel/glib20/glib20.tar.gz?tarball=1
linux-glib2-2.2.1 :: http://cvsweb.freebsd.org/ports/devel/linux-glib2/linux-glib2.tar.gz?tarball=1

Also for anyone having problems, check the /etc/rc.conf and see if linux_enable="YES" is in there.

I will setup a box here at home and install the same version of FreeBSD and see if I can recreate the same situation.. Then make a guide on what I installed/did to make it work.

Thanks to all who replied! Smile

Will these files work for redhat linux 7.3?

I'd assume they would only work on freebsd (try at your own risk). But, you may want to search for just the base filename like glib at http://rpmfind.net/
