Need help with source dedicated server

I have created a dedicated server. I can get on to play but noone else can. Does anyone have any ideas?

Chances are you're behind a router, and you're either:
a. giving them the LAN ip which is 192.168.*.*
b. You did not forward the nessassary ports.
or
c. You have a firewall and its blocking access to your server.

Thanks but how do i fix any of that?

192.168.1.47:27016 that is my ip for the server. How can i forward the ports? and my router/modem is a Westell versalink model 327w.

Check out portforward.com for your router and how to setup a steam server. Also, give them your external IP which you can find here http://www.whatismyip.com not your LAN ip. Also please use the edit button and don't double post. thanks.
